Perhaps taking a cue from Dora the Explorer, Winnie the Pooh goes interactive and educational with this story in which Pooh and his friends in the Hundred Acre Wood team up to complete Owl's Wonderful Word Adventure. Before the group can begin a new leg of the race, they must follow instructions involving words and their opposites (stop/go; over/under, in/out). The song, "Different as Night and Day" reinforces the concept. En route to the finish line, Eeyore will emerge as the real winner by performing a selfless act of friendship. Disney gets high marks for this engaging educational approach, but Pooh fans will simply enjoy the beloved characters, gentle humor, and charming animation that make this Disney's most enduring franchise.
